Amposta is situated in the southern part of Catalonia, within the province of Tarragona, and lies at the heart of the Ebro Delta, one of the most important wetlands in southern Europe. Its location along the Ebro River, just 10 km from the Mediterranean Sea, provides the city with a distinct natural landscape that includes expansive wetlands, beaches, and rich agricultural lands. The city is surrounded by several other picturesque towns and is located about 80 kilometers south of Tarragona city and around 180 kilometers from Barcelona, making it easily accessible from major urban centers.
