Poyo: Geographical Location and Climate

Poyo is located on the western coast of Galicia, within the province of Pontevedra, and is situated on the northern shore of the Ría de Pontevedra estuary. The town is surrounded by rolling green hills and lush forests, characteristic of the Galician landscape. Its coastal position offers access to pristine beaches and views of the nearby Atlantic Ocean, while the proximity to the estuary provides opportunities for water-based activities like sailing and kayaking. The town is just a short drive from Pontevedra, a key city in the region, and about an hour’s drive from the larger cities of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela.
